Celebrating Our Global Community
ISA Greetings + Performances
The annual Intercultural Student Alliance (ISA) Greetings and Performances brought Centennial Hall to its feet in celebration of the global MHS community.
Students (and MHS adults!) from 27 countries offered greetings in their native languages, and another 50 students contributed international performances, including 16 dance, poetry, vocal and instrumental pieces.
ISA co-Heads Fiona ’26 and Hyeon ’26 emceed the festivities, always a highlight of the year. Noted Hyeon, “This year we changed our name from the International Student Alliance to the Intercultural Student Alliance. This was an important distinction for us, and today you will see how MHS is truly an intercultural community. ISA works hard to help foster a sense of curiosity so that we can all learn about each other. We are excited to honor and highlight the many identities represented at our school.”
Fiona thanked the event’s many contributors, including student ISA Representatives — Noya ’26, Arianna ’26, Kaja ’27, Prianka ’27, Nguyen ’27, Yun ’27, Linnea ’27, Bella ’27, Khloe ’28, Alfie ’28, Aastha ’28, and Jiwoo ’29 — and ISA Advisor Tanya Kalischer for their hard work and dedication. “For this show, I really appreciate and admire every greeter and performer’s courage in standing up here to proudly share their culture,” she added. “Everyone is so excited to learn what you have to offer.”
