Spring Athletics

Golf has the luxury of playing and practicing nearby at the prestigious Miraval Berkshires, formerly Cranwell Spa & Golf Resort. The team has access to the putting green, driving range, and 18-hole course at least four days each week. MHS golfers travel around New England, taking in some of the best courses the region has to offer. With an emphasis on fundamentals and skill development, our golfers see improvement and growth throughout the season and throughout their years on the team.

The varsity lacrosse team has come into its own during the past few years. The team continues to grow in popularity, and with this growth, success has followed. Lacrosse is the ultimate team sport, and the MHS team relies heavily on unity, chemistry, and leadership, while competing against some of the best teams in the region.

Softball was one of the School's first interscholastic sports, and the team competes in Class C of the Western New England Prep School Girls’ Softball Association (WNEPSGSA). The team concept stresses unselfish play, positive self-image, healthy self-assessment (celebrating individual strengths and working to correct weaknesses), and skill-building. Players and coaches are committed to hard work and creating a strong team chemistry.

Tennis is a Miss Hall’s institution, and the sport has been played here since the early years of the School. Our varsity team, led by Coach Karl Mullen, is very competitive and schedules top-notch opponents across New England. The team plays its home matches at the new James K. Ervin Tennis Complex, which opened in May 2023.

The newest varsity offering at MHS Track and Field competes primarily against NEPSAC schools in Massachusetts and Connecticut, but also against public school teams in Berkshire County. Launched just this spring, the team is competing this year in running events (100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1,500m, and 3,200m, as well as the 4x100m and 4x400m relays), shot put, and discus, and will add disciplines

Riding is a three-season team sport at MHS, and our equestrians ride at least four times each week at a top-of-the-line, multi-disciplinary center nearby. The facilities include indoor and outdoor arenas, twenty horses, stables, and plenty of turnout in the surrounding paddock.
