Our students are bold and creative global citizens, practicing the change they want to see in the world. They become part of a network of alums with vision, voice, and the know-how to make a difference.

Horizons, our signature service learning and internship program, is interdisciplinary, experiential, and woven into the fabric of our school. All students participate every Wednesday in a leadership curriculum that includes service learning and internships at more than 75 professional offices, businesses, nonprofits, and arts organizations in the Berkshires.

Whether you want to experience what it’s like to work at an architectural firm, in the District Attorney’s office, as a veterinarian — or in any other career you’re curious about — everything is possible at Miss Hall’s. Horizons will be your bridge from the classroom to the real world.

Guided by an Academic Counselor starting in 9th grade, each student selects from more than 80 courses to build a strong foundation, choose electives, and personalize their learning.

You’ll explore new areas and take intellectual risks, diving into particular fields in greater depth as your interests evolve. Elective courses such as Women’s Health and Global Issues, The History and Culture of Fairy Tales, and Wildlife Ecology invite you to lean into sophisticated ideas and take advantage of opportunities to stretch yourself.

Highest-level Hallmark courses — Artificial Intelligence, Biotechnology, Art Intensive, Law, and more — will challenge you and sharpen the skills you need to succeed: collaboration, communication, and critical and analytical thinking.

Care for your intellectual, physical, and mental wellness will be provided by dedicated, best-in-their-field faculty who will nurture and inspire you to learn, grow, and soar.

At Miss Hall’s, teachers get to know each student and encourage them to develop their voices. Whether that means advocating for girls and women in science at the United Nations, speaking before the Massachusetts Legislature about restricting single-use plastics, or providing needed translation services to immigrants, our students are empowered to take action and solve problems with intellect and creativity.

Your college counselor at Miss Hall’s will help you identify your strengths and weaknesses, map out what you are looking for, and think deeply about the life you want to lead beyond college. As part of our student-centered approach, you will also have a writing coach who will work with you on your college applications.

Along the way, your Personal Team will be there to support and cheer you on. Your team includes peers — such as your Proctor and your Big — as well as trusted adults — your advisor, dorm parents, and coaches — who will be your most enthusiastic advocates throughout your time here.

Arts, athletics, and What I Need (WIN) time will be part of your experience at Miss Hall’s.

Our daily schedule is built to encourage creativity, promote whole-student wellness, and make time for you to have fun, get outside, and explore the natural wonders of our 80-acre campus.

You will choose from 10 varsity sports and a host of recreational athletics, plus theater, vocal, and instrumental ensembles. It will be up to you to decide how you use your WIN time each day: to practice an instrument, go for a run, visit the Math Center, or unwind with friends.

And, when it comes to friends, you will not only make lifelong friendships, but you will also experience what it is like to live in a community that respects each person for who they are.

Miss Hall’s looks different every year because the students are different every year. Throughout the 126-year history of our school, each of us has changed this special place while we are here.
