Welcome to Student Life

Your Personal Team

Miss Hall’s is a school where you will make connections, with students and adults, that will last a lifetime. Each student that is part of the MHS Community has a "Personal Team." These teams are your teachers, advisors, and student leaders who will be your most enthusiastic advocates.

Advisors

The Advising Program is an important part of life at Miss Hall’s School. Every student has a faculty advisor who is available as a personal and academic mentor, and who serve as liaisons with other members of the faculty and administration.

Additionally, students gather with others in their grade and their class advisors. Day student advisors are available to assist day students.

Resident Faculty

The four dorms on the Miss Hall's campus have resident faculty members who live in the halls. These hall parents, along with the Proctors, are your "go to" people. They oversee all aspects of dorm life, serving as mentors, providing guidance and support. Together, with other adults on campus, they make the dorms a home-away-from-home for boarding students.

Bigs

"Bigs" are students who volunteer to play an important role in the life of a new student at Miss Hall’s School. Whether acting as friends, mentors, or role models, Bigs make the transition to MHS smoother and are an integral presence in the life of new students.

Proctors

Proctors are seniors who take on special leadership roles in MHS dormitory life. Chosen each spring from the rising senior class, these students are counselors, role models, and friends to new and returning students adjusting to life at school. They also manage much of the everyday routines and make the campus a home-away-from-home for younger students.

Health Services

The Health Services Department at Miss Hall's School provides quality health care that is effective, culturally sensitive, and responsive to the diverse and changing needs of students and community members so that all may enjoy a safe and healthy environment and be confident and comfortable in accessing the services available. With four nurses and two counselors, students always have access to the care they need.
