Community goes big during Giving Tuesday

Our community stepped up during this year’s Giving Tuesday challenge, raising more than $70,000 to support student wellbeing.

On December 1, 2020, we asked the Miss Hall’s community to support the wellbeing of our students by making a financial contribution to the myriad counseling, wellness, and health programs at Miss Hall’s.

And boy did they deliver! More than 150 donors blew past our goal of $20,000 and raised more than $70,000. Four different matching gift challenges helped energize the day — one of these asked the faculty and staff to raise $2,021 in honor of the Class of 2021; faculty and staff ended up raising more than $6,000.

Keep supporting our girls

If you were unable to join us on Giving Tuesday, or if you’d like to keep investing in the students at Miss Hall’s, please consider making a gift now to support our girls’ wellbeing.

This has been a hard year for us all, but MHS family and friends have banded together in impressive ways — from the Community Action Fund to ongoing events that keep our families and alumnae connected. And with this incredible turnout on Giving Tuesday — more than doubling the number of donors from our previous giving day, more than double the number of dollars from our previous giving day — they have once again shown how committed our community is to each other.

Thank you!

Commitment is not a one-time thing. Commitment means giving every year — a steady annual connection to Miss Hall’s. Never forget the relationships, the faculty, the people of this special place where we came of age together, where lifelong friendships were forged.

Gratitude from the Greenhouse

Head of School Julia Heaton led this live celebration at the conclusion of Giving Tuesday. As the day’s fundraising was focused on wellbeing initiatives, we heard from several students who have developed a new way to support wellness at Miss Hall’s: a meditation garden to be built on campus. Wellbeing at Miss Hall’s

In the week leading up to Giving Tuesday, we shared on social media some of the ways that we support wellbeing at Miss Hall’s.

Showing gratitude

As part of our celebration of wellbeing at Miss Hall’s, we invited members of our community to submit short videos explaining what they’ve been grateful for this year.
