Ring Ceremony — Reimagined!

This year's Ring Ceremony was held outdoors and socially distanced on a beautiful day in the Berkshires.

(Sophie Lane ’96)

In lieu of our traditional Ring Dinner, seniors instead gathered October 23 in socially distant ways — and on a beautiful Berkshires fall day! — for a reimagined Ring Ceremony.

Ring Ceremony

This year's Ring Ceremony was reimagined to accommodate life during a pandemic.

After inspiring comments outside the New Dorm from Class President Nya Mielke ’21, Dean of Academics and Faculty Lisa Alberti ’73, and Alumnae Council President Mary Atwood ’83, seniors paraded around the Pond, greeted by cheering juniors in the Quad, ninth graders outside Linn Hall, and sophomores at the Klein, applauded by faculty all the way.

In another new twist, ribbons — green for faculty, blue for underclasswomen, and gold for seniors — were shared electronically. Thank you to Celcie Tetteh ’21, who was the creative energy behind the new virtual ribbons, Senior Class Advisor Kim Boland ’94, and all who helped with this event.
