See why Miss Hall’s is right for your family

A tailored experience for your daughter — affordable cost for you

Welcome to Miss Hall’s, a nationally recognized boarding school for girls in grades 9–12.

Here, your daughter will live alongside new friends from around the world, she’ll hold leadership positions, develop autonomy, and be immersed in an academic environment that is invigorating, supportive, and fun.

Try our tuition calculator below to find out how affordable Miss Hall’s can be for your family. Then read on to learn eight reasons — shared by students themselves — why your daughter will love learning at Miss Hall’s.

Calculate your tuition

Include all income, regardless of source (W2, 1099, disability, child support, etc.)
Include all physical and liquid assets, except automobiles and 529 plans; subtract non-consumer debts over $10,000
Include all people who live in your household full time, regardless of their relationship to the student
Include anyone for whom you will pay a tuition next fall (including the applicant), first grade through undergraduate college

And now, eight reasons to attend Miss Hall’s

8. There are so many opportunities to find her thing.

The academic program at Miss Hall’s is really your daughter’s academic program. She can try all kinds of new activities and classes, teachers will tailor the curriculum to her passions, and many of her projects — whether inside the classroom or out — will be of her own devising. Like with our humanities students, who recently presented year-long research into topics they themselves chose and developed. (See a couple below, then read more about them!)

7. She’ll make friends from all over.

Life at Miss Hall’s

Performances ’round the world

At Miss Hall’s, we are interested in being surrounded by and learning from friends of all backgrounds. Students come from China and Ghana, Ukraine and California, and with them we trade traditions, learn new dances and music, share some favorite desserts from home, and expand our sense of the common good. As one of our students said, “You’ve never learned so much just from having lunch with someone.”

6. We support each other — always.

We collaborate with, instead of compete with one another. Everyone lifts up everyone else. And, no one falls through the cracks here. Whether it’s your daughter’s “Big” surprising her with cupcakes on her birthday, a chemistry teacher attending her piano recital, or Ginger saving her favorite snack down in the School Store — well, let’s just say that she’ll never feel more known than when she’s at Miss Hall’s.

5. She’ll get to make a better tomorrow.

At Miss Hall’s, we live with and befriend peers from around the globe — working together to contribute boldly and creatively to the common good. Our students are passionate activists, whether it’s by speaking at United Nations (as Diana ’21 did last winter), developing public health apps and infographics, or advocating to change the world.

4. Fire pits? Fire pits.

3. We speak a lot of languages

Whatever your definition of languages, your daughter will engage a lot of them at Miss Hall’s. She might learn Python to code apps and build A.I., or study conflict resolution and the language of leadership through our Horizons program. And, of course, classrooms and dorms abound with students’ native tongues: Vietnamese, Chinese, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, and more. Check out this video of some of our students wishing a Happy New Year:

2. There are infinite ways of expressing ourselves.

It’s cool to be you at Miss Hall’s. People really care about your daughter and want to hear what she has to say, whether it’s through a new artform she’s trying out, a research project on her favorite topic, or in a club meeting. (We have a ton of clubs!) (And awesome diversity alliances!) As one of our ninth-graders said last week, “Any time a student has something to say, they are given space to say it — there is never a time where a student’s voice, feelings, or opinions are silenced.”

And we haven’t let the pandemic stop any of these activities — our theater program even rehearsed and presented an entirely virtual play! Read about it here, or watch the prologue below:

1. Girls are everything at Miss Hall’s.

Girls hold all the leadership roles, ask all the questions, solve all the problems, play all the positions, sing all the parts. They are excited to run the show; your daughter will be excited to run the show.
