MHS offers nearly three dozen student-led clubs groups, clubs, ensembles, and publications that allow students to explore their passions, test the reins of leadership, and energize the school community. Don't see something that interests you here? Just submit a proposal to the student life team to create your own club!

  • A/V Club

  • ACG (Animation, Comic, and Game) Club

    Members will meet to share an appreciation for anime, cosplay and games by producing our own manga and anime.

    Members hope to promote opportunities for entertainment and relaxation while playing all kinds of board games.
  • Brain Bee

    Members will study neuroscience in preperation for the 13th Annual Central Massachusetts Regional Brain Bee in 2019.

  • Bigs

    Bigs are students who volunteer to play an important role in the life of a new student at Miss Hall's School. Whether acting as friends, mentors, or role models, Bigs make the transition to MHS smoother and are an integral presence in the life of new students. Bigs play an important leadership role in the school community, and both students and faculty rely on these students.
  • Business Club

  • Cooking Club

    Members will meet and cook together, sharing cooking interests and cultural dishes.
  • Chemistry Club

    Members will explore different topics in Chemisty, conduct fun expierements, and organize educational activities for the community. 
  • Current Events Club

  • Debate Club

    Members will meet and practice debate skills and participate in a debate competition.
  • Design Club

    Members will create and provide posters/flyers to help the community publicize their mission and events. 
  • Diversity Coalition

    The Diversity Coalition is made up of three clubs that have been identified as essential to the School and works to foster inclusion, equity, and courageous conversations among all students. These three clubs, which together make up the Miss Hall's School Diversity Coalition, are Essence, the International Student Alliance, and Spectrum.

    Unlike other clubs that are entirely student driven, the clubs of the Diversity Coalition have stronger partnering of the student leaders with the faculty advisors and are reestablished annually regardless of membership size and student-leader interest.

    Essence is a club devoted to the creation of harmony among all students, regardless of race and ethnicity. All members of the MHS community are encouraged to participate in Essence Club meetings, activities, and events.

    The International Student Alliance (ISA) is made up of students from the US and other countries represented in our student body. At the beginning of the academic year, some ISA members participate in a three-day orientation that helps new international students adjust to life at MHS. Throughout the year, ISA sponsors cultural programs, international meals, and special events.

    Spectrum is a club devoted to the creation of harmony and tolerance among allstudents, regardless of sexual orientation. All members of the MHS community are encouraged to participate in Spectrum meetings, activities, and events.  
  • Essence

    Members are devoted to the creation of harmony and tolerance, regardless of race and/or ethnicity. 
  • Final Frontier Club (Space Club)

  • Hall's Environmental Action Team (HEAT)

    Members will raise awareness about environmental issues and educate the MHS community about water and electricity conservation.
  • Hallways

    Members will inform the MHS community of current events by publishing a newspaper.
  • Instrumental Ensembles

    Memebers form, together, with their faculty advisor, various types of ensembles (Classical, Jazz, Rock.) These groups perform at school events. 
  • International Student Alliance (ISA)

    Members are international and domestic stufdents who meet to plan cultural activities and programs that enrich our MHS community. 
  • Marine Biology Club

    Members will meet to learn about marine biology.
  • ReAD (Reading and Discussions) Club

    Members serves as an advisory board to discuss and select fiction for the library's collection as well as promote reading to the community.
  • So.Girls Right the World

    Members will showcase student literary and art pieces in a published format. 
  • STEAM Club

    Members will use their skills in exploring robotics, computer science, or engineering in everyday life.
  • Step Club

    The STEP Club is a place for students to connect who share an interest in Step dance. Open to all levels of dancers, this club provides a free and artistic way for students to learn together. The club members are lead by student instructors and typically work on learning basic steps, following choreography, and preparing for performances at all-school events. Students can unwind after a long day of classes and embrace this century old form of dance. We hope to see you there!
  • Spectrum

    Spectrum is a club devoted to the creation of harmony and tolerance among all students, regardless of sexual orientation. Members educate and raise awareness within the MHS community abouts news in the LGBTQ community.
  • Theater Ensemble

    The MHS Theater Ensemble puts on two productions each year. Auditions for the fall play are held in September. Auditions for the winter musical are held in November.  No prior experience is necessary, and auditions are open to all students. 
  • Vocal Ensemble

    Members will rehearse and perform music for school and community events.

About us

Located in the Berkshires in western Massachusetts, Miss Hall's School is a private, college preparatory, boarding and day high school for girls in grades 9-12.
