Voice is the power to communicate ideas with authenticity and confidence, as well as the instrument by which girls can “connect [their] inner and outer worlds” (Carol Gilligan, In Another Voice).
It requires one to:
● present self and ideas confidently and authentically
● communicate effectively and appropriately in varied contexts
● advocate, negotiate, and set boundaries
● gracefully give and receive constructive criticism and praise
● demonstrate and command respect
● lead by example
