Theme Meals and Events

It's not an easy task preparing three meals each day for a diverse group of teenagers.

From late August until early June, ARAMARK works hard to provide nutritionally balanced and interesting meals for a student population of more than 200 girls.

During the course of the year, however, the team also likes to vary the schedule with dozens of theme meals, formal dinners, banquets, and other special events designed not only to be healthy, but also fun. The end result is a nice change of pace — both for ARAMARK and the students.

The list includes events such as January's Roman Banquet, a winter beach party, a Valentine's Day Banquet, and an annual Caribbean-themed dinner. Special formal events include the October Ring Dinner and the banquets held after the year's three sports seasons.

"It's a nice way to change things up a bit and to try something different," says MHS Food Services Director James Callahan. "It's fun for us, and the girls seem to enjoy a break from the regular routine, too."

Recipes from Home

Living away from home doesn't have to mean living without some of the comforts of home. That includes cooking from home.

Students or parents who want to share a favorite home recipe — anything from entrees to desserts — are invited to forward the recipes to James Callahan. If we can replicate the recipe on a larger scale, it can be included on an upcoming menu.

Dorm Nights and Picnics

Holding a dorm meeting, class meeting, picnic, or another on-campus event? ARAMARK can prepare a wide variety of foods for these and other special occasions.

Order everything from fresh fruit platters to super-sized sandwiches feeding up to 25 people, or arrange for picnic foods such as BBQ chicken and corn-on-the-cob, as well as platters of Buffalo, BBQ, or Teriyaki chicken wings.
