Two MHS student athletes have been named league all-stars, recognizing their performances during the winter athletics season.
Shae Daley ’18 and Julianne Liebow ’19 have been named New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Class C All-Stars and represented Miss Hall’s at the March 4 league all-star game at Noble and Greenbough School, in Dedham, Massachusetts.
A three-year varsity player who joined the starting lineup this year and was a team captain, Shae averaged 10.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game this season while playing as a guard and forward. Outside of basketball season, Shae is an accomplished dancer.
Julianne joined Miss Hall’s this year as a junior and was a valuable starter for the Hurricanes. She averaged 10.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game, splitting time between the point guard and shooting guard positions.
“Shae played a huge role in our success this year,” said MHS Varsity Basketball Coach and Director of Athletics Brad Horth. “She was a real jack-of-all-trades player who filled a stat sheet in just about every game she played. She is not afraid to get inside and mix it up with the bigger players, but she also has the ability to stretch out and knock down a three-pointer. We will miss Shae’s physical toughness and leadership next year.”
“Julianne also played a big role for us this season,” Coach Horth added. “She is a sharp-shooting guard, led the team in three-pointers made, and did a good job of putting herself in position to knock down open looks. We look forward to having Julianne back next year and think she will contribute in even bigger ways for us.”
