Tuition & Financial Aid

Financial Aid

A financial aid grant is a gift of money applied to your daughter's tuition. It has no repayment requirements. Grants are awarded for one year; families who reapply for financial assistance in subsequent years must submit current financial information. Over one-third of Miss Hall's School students receive a grant.

  • Who may Apply for Financial Aid?

All new and returning families may apply for a financial grant. You should not hesitate to consider Miss Hall’s School because you are concerned about cost or think you may not qualify for assistance.
  • How are Financial Aid Grants Determined?

Financial aid is determined through the analysis of a family’s resources, including income and assets. To determine awards, the financial aid committee reviews the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) based on the needs analysis system of School and Student Services (SSS), a service of the National Association of Independent Schools. SSS will use a standard calculation to determine the estimated dollar amount a family can contribute toward the education of their children. The Miss Hall’s Financial Aid Committee then determines a family’s need based on the findings of SSS as well the Committee’s independent need analysis.
