Building on site work in the sophomore year, juniors continue volunteering at nonprofits around western Massachusetts.
As they develop career interests, they assume more responsibility and take more initiative at sites.

  • Girls Right the World

    Girls Right the World, launched in 2016, is an international online literary journal advocating for young, female-identified writers. The student editors oversee both Sol, (the MHS art and literary magazine), and Girls Right the World. They encourage young writers far and wide to submit their work for consideration for publication in this annually published online journal. As expressed on their website, "We believe in the power of young women, sisterhood, and creativity through writing." The inaugural issue will be published in spring of 2017.
  • Mira's Alliance for Philanthropic Sustainability (MAPS)

    MAPS is a girl-driven organization that aims to educate and fundraise in the Miss Hall's School community and around the world, promoting sustainable philanthropy through micro-loans, micro-grants, and contributions to similar organizations. Juniors and Seniors in MAPS often work with ninth- and tenth-graders, helping to teach their younger counterparts.

  • Junior Horizons Presentations - 5.4.17

    Juniors set up displays throughout Linn Hall and did a great job of explaining their Horizos site work throughout the year and answering questions. About two dozen sites—schools, healthcare institutions, social service organizations, libraries, and others—were represented, and sophomores also had time to visit with the juniors and learn more before submitting their site requests for next year.
