The Humes Euston Hall Library is a quiet, comfortable space where students can read, study, or relax, as well as gather in groups in one of the study rooms. The library is staffed with a full-time professional librarian and is open every day from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
The diverse print collection contains approximately 14,000 volumes and 50 periodicals. Students have access to thousands of additional sources through the library's subscriptions to 45 databases as well as millions of books and articles through the state-wide interlibrary loan program. The catalog and circulation systems are fully automated, and the library is proud to offer self-circulation, trusting our community members to check out their books properly and return them promptly.
Vicky Biancolo, Director of Library Services, joined the School in 2006. Vicky graduated from Skidmore College and holds a Master of Library and Information Science from Simmons College. During her tenure at MHS, she has worked to improve our students' information literacy and promote leisure reading. Before becoming a librarian, Vicky worked as a horse trainer, paralegal, copy editor, AIDS educator, Peace Corps volunteer, and gun control advocate, but not all at the same time. She recently served on the boards of the Massachusetts School Librarian Association and the Massachusetts Library System.
