On December 1, we are asking our community to support the wellbeing of our students by making a financial contribution to the myriad counseling, wellness, and health programs at Miss Hall’s.
This has been a hard year for us all, but MHS family and friends have banded together in impressive ways — from the Community Action Fund to ongoing events that keep our families and alumnae connected. We’re now asking our community to make sure that Miss Hall’s can continue to offer the social-emotional support that has defined our experience for so long.
“Commitment is not a one-time thing. Commitment means giving every year — a steady annual connection to Miss Hall’s. Never forget the relationships, the faculty, the people of this special place where we came of age together, where lifelong friendships were forged.”
$20,000 for student wellbeing
Our goal is to raise $20,000 for student wellbeing initiatives at Miss Hall’s. Read more about some of the ways we support our community.
We know many of you have felt buoyed by our community, by the support you’ve received from others, both formally and informally. Now we’re asking you to give back, to make sure that Miss Hall’s can continue to support our students.
Please consider a gift of $10 or $20 — or reach higher, if you’re able. Your support, literally, is what enables us to provide housing, healthcare, social-emotional support, athletic experiences, and training in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Your gift is doubled!
Kate Fonyo Pisano ’81 has stepped forward with a bold challenge. If MHS alumnae, friends, and family collectively contribute $10,000 for Giving Tuesday, your donations will be matched by another $10,000 in support of our students’ wellbeing! Double your impact today!

Gratitude from the Greenhouse
At 5:00 p.m. on Giving Tuesday, we will gather donors, family, and friends virtually in the Ara West Grinnell 1901 Greenhouse. Head of School Julia Heaton and Greenhouse Manager Marian Rutledge will host and students from the Garden Design Club will present their proposal for a Meditation Garden on the Miss Hall’s campus. This is a great opportunity to be mindful together, to share gratitude, and to connect with today’s students and school leadership.
