Welcome!
Here at MHS, you will find a strong community of real girls. What do we mean by “real girls?” We mean girls who are curious, intellectually alive, energetic, and eager to learn, grow, and explore. Real girls care deeply about the world around them, about such things as nature and environmental issues, foreign films, athletics, Impressionist Art, computer technology, Jane Austen, whitewater rafting, Mozart, or DNA research.

We encourage all of our girls to explore all of their possibilities—in the classroom, on the playing field, on the stage, behind the easel, or anywhere else their talents take them. We also combine an exceptional college-preparatory curriculum with two acclaimed programs, Horizons and the Girls’ Leadership Project, both of which are essential to our belief that along with outstanding academic preparation, girls need additional skills that allow them to step confidently into the real world.

If you would like receive additional information, please fill out our contact form or email us at info@misshalls.org.

We look forward to hearing from you and introducing you to the Miss Hall’s School community of real girls.

A World of Opportunity at MHS
A Seat at the Table

What does it take for a woman to become a leader? Is it possible to have a career and a family? Will there be help along the way? A Seat at the Table: Six Girls Ask “What Does it Take to Become a Leader?” is a groundbreaking new documentary that follows six Miss Hall’s School students as they seek answers to those questions—and more.

The film was produced by members of PAaLS—the Personal Authority and Leadership Source—at Miss Hall’s School, with direction from PAaLS Research Director Elizabeth Debold, Ed.D., and documentary filmmaker Jackie Mow.

To find out more about A Seat at the Table and the GLP at Miss Hall's School, contact the MHS Development Office at (413) 395-7061 or at development@misshalls.org.

Part of the Girls’ Leadership Project at Miss Hall’s School, PaALS is a girl-centered research initiative that has studied obstacles to girls’ and women’s leadership for nearly a decade. The group’s initiatives have included a nationwide survey on girls and leadership, on-campus workshops for students, and off-campus workshops for middle school students.

A Seat at the Table has received funding from Schoolhouse Kitchen and The Page & Otto Marx, Jr. Foundation.
