 | Miss Hall's School Annual Report 2010-2011
The 2010-2011 school year brought much success for Miss Hall's School.
Our ambitious students achieved in every area of school life. The academic and student life curricula expanded to challenge girls in new ways. Admission had a banner year. The enrollment grew by almost five percent, and we admitted the largest freshwoman class in our history. We set an ambitious $1 million goal for the Fund for MHS and came within a hairbreadth of reaching it, and the $50 million Go Far, Go Together Campaign now stands at $32.5 million.
As we reflect on why we prevailed, particularly when there is much uncertainty and financial insecurity in the environment beyond this campus, we acknowledge the large numbers of adults who are committed to MHS and to sustaining the vibrant learning community that changes girls’ lives. Faculty and staff give unstintingly of their time and professional energy; parents and grandparents support their daughters’ and granddaughters’ aspirations through their financial commitment; friends who believe in our mission advocate on our behalf and give generously; and alumnae, having benefitted from this extraordinary education, give back by “paying forward” so that the girls in the School now and the generations still to come will also have the supreme privilege of preparing for college and a life of purpose in this unparalleled setting on Holmes Road.
Inspiring girls to achieve at the highest levels and teaching them how to contribute boldly and creatively to the common good require the best from all of us. In this newly designed Annual Report, we reflect on the events in the life of this school and describe what all of our best efforts have achieved. As we make our list of the reasons for our success, we put your name at the top. Thank you for your commitment to Mira Hall’s school.
